Why DUO is Cardano’s hidden gem pioneering Social NFT Gaming.
A new wave of NFT gaming is coming and it’s all about the players. With the recent rise in Gen 3 blockchain solutions like Cardano, new doors are opening for gamers worldwide. Black Cards = Prompts
The rarer of the two NFT’s are DUO’s Black Cards. These form a more passive gameplay and will be used to start each “match”. The owner of the Black Card will be notified to pick a winner (a Color Card) at the end of the round and will be rewarded gameplay tokens as they complete the round. This means you can set your Black Cards into play and come back periodically to choose the best matches, with small rewards along the way.
Color Cards = Punchlines
While the black cards offer a more passive form of gameplay, DUO’s Color Cards represent the 7 different humor types as unique styles of gameplay with rarer cards bringing different gradients into action. These can turn the most innocent prompt into a witty dad joke, add a risque twist, or go headlong into dark humor. You get to play how you want and starting off with one of the DUO Color Packs gets you an easy entry into the game with 10 of these Color Cards to test your wit and humor.
The core gameplay is currently in pre-Alpha with a growing player base in DUO’s Discord channel testing the core mechanics of the different pillars of the game. The core development team — Jason (AussieGingersnap) Toevs, Founder who has experience building software startups for the last 10 years with a formal background in Mathematics and part of the second Plutus Pioneer Cohort, one of a handful of developers in the Cardano smart contract language. Alongside Jason, is (BigBen), who is working on his PHD in Mathematics / Blockchain and a key leader in DUO’s n-player uncertainty modeling.
Alpha gameplay is expected in Q2 of next year, with exclusive access to anyone who owns a card from the Genesis Deck. This allows early collectors and players to participate early in the ongoing gameplay up until the full game economy and core mechanics are ready for launch! With this social element as DUO builds it’s community, it opens opportunities for streamers and other influencers in the space to join the world’s first Social NFT Game.
